Excel Learning Trust
The vision for the Excel Learning Trust is to build on the school’s ongoing commitment to promoting the physical and emotional health and well-being of young people within Boston Spa School, it’s partner schools and wider community, in the strong belief that this will lead to greater engagement with learning, raised attainment and improved aspirations.
The trust is embedding current good practice and has entered into more formal relationships with existing partners and is developing new partnerships to increase impact. The Trust’s aim is to sustain participation in active, healthy and successful lifestyles within the school and wider community.
The Trust includes a wide range of formal and informal partners who are working together to deliver on the Trust Development Plan
Our Partners include Centre for Active Lifestyles at Leeds Metropolitan University who bring experience of the delivery of programmes to promote and engage young people in healthier lifestyles within and beyond the curriculum. Leeds Met are keen to have opportunities for their students to work with us and to pilot programmes that would have a positive impact on the choices around diet and exercise that young people make
Leeds United Football in the Community work very closely with us providing support for our Girls and Boys Football Academies and being the preferred delivery agent for Football in the Boston Spa Sports Partnership.
