HUMANITIES

  • A Humanities film club - Tuesday lunchtime beginning in October
  • Year 11 Module re-sit sessions in Geography after school in Dec & Jan.
  • Year 13 re-sit classes after school in Dec & Jan in Psychology, Geography, History and Government and Politics.
  • Year 10 module revision sessions in January and May for RS and Geography
  • Year 9 Booster and revision sessions (Hums, History, Rs, Geography) beginning in April after school
  • Year 11 revision sessions after school in May and June for Geography, RS and History
  • Year 12 and 13 History revisions after school in May and June.  Sessions during the Easter holidays and May half term.

 

MATHS

  • 6th form support:  Bv offers a 6th form drop in as homework and study support every Monday lunchtime in room 72.
  • All years - homework support in room 48, open to all year groups, led by a different member of the maths team on different days.   We have the computer room open every lunchtime, from 12:45 till the end, where students will be able to use the computer, print any homework as needed, and seek support or help with their maths homework as well from the member of staff in there.  See your maths teacher for details.

  • A2 Chemistry: weekly revision sessions for all resits from Mid Nov - Contact Tn

ENGLISH, DRAMA & MEDIA

Creative Writing with Wl and Vg: Wednesday, week B. Room 14. Years 7 and 8.

Boston Spa Stingers (Spelling Bee) with Co and EH: From November until the heats in early March. Room 13, Year 7.

Film Club:  Thursday after school in room 13 with CO.  This is open to Year 11s and 6th formers - and is of particular use to those who study Media, although anyone with an interest in cinema is most welcome.  The film showing will be advertised every Monday on the English department door.

 

Drama:

Whole school production HH: September to October

Year 7 Drama Club HH: October Half-term to April

Year 12 and 13 - additional rehearsals after school - Wednesday and Thursday.

  

Library:

Leeds Book Award - January to April, Lunchtimes in the library.  Years 7, 8 and 9.

Carnegie Shadowing - May to June, lunchtimes in the library, first half of summer term. Years 8 and 9.

Manga Club - Run by students for students meeting in the library.
