Mrs Bucktrout was a compassionate, resilient and courageous woman. As a leader of Business, Design and Technology she always ensured there were opportunities for students to thrive.
She was driven by strong family values which shone through in her work. She was always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that her students were given the care, support and encouragement to achieve their potential.
Mrs Bucktrout was respected by all students she came into contact with and all the colleagues who worked alongside with.

“We chose to be Head Girl and Head Boy for Bucktrout because we wanted to be involved and have a positive influence on others. It has helped us in developing our responsibilities and enhancing our communication skills.
We have the opportunity to organise events, mentor younger students and raise vital funds for our House Charities.
Being a Head Girl and Head Boy is important to us in building on our already strong school community.”
Bucktrout House proudly supports the following Charities:
Events organised in support of our chosen charities
During the month of October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) we annually run events including selling pink ribbons, painting finger nails pink, bake sale and a raffle.
During the month of June we hold a fun run in school where students raise money for the Jane Tomlinson appeal.
