Student Voice

Student Voice is about the young people in our school. Any student in any classroom in any year, has a voice that should be heard. Student Voice allows students to share who they are, what they believe, and why they believe what they do with their peers, parents, teachers and their entire school.

At Boston Spa School we care about what the students think and take time to listen to their views. Student Voice is engaged in lots of ways in the school such as: School VOICE, Year VOICE, House Captains, Head Boy and Head Girl, PiXL Edge Leaders, Sixth Form Council and the use of student voice in interviews for new staff. At Boston Spa school we value young people and give them ownership of their learning and opportunities to make a difference.

Being part of the Student VOICE offers the opportunities to practice and showcase new skills they are developing, such as mentoring and interpersonal skills, self-confidence, public speaking, team-building, collaborative working and problem solving.

VOICE representatives are voted on each year by the students and their role is to represent them in decision making in the school.
