Adam is the Deputy Executive Principal within The GORSE Academies Trust and has overall leadership responsibility for Boston Spa Academy as Principal.

Adam is an experienced Principal who has a track record of improving the performance of schools at all levels. He built upon the successes of his predecessors at The Morley Academy and has improved what was already an 'Outstanding' and 'World Class' academy, to one which is now truly exceptional.

Adam's areas of expertise are teaching and learning, behaviour and personal development, educational leadership and assessment. In addition to this, Adam is also an Ofsted Inspector with over 7 years of experience.

In May 2019, Adam began working as a National Leader of Education as part of the Department for Education Opportunity North East (ONE Vision) programme to support Hetton School in Sunderland. Through his ability to build strong professional working relationships, prioritise areas for improvement and to meticulously evaluate performance, Hetton School is now well on the way to securing significant improvements to the educational provision it provides for its students. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Executive Principal, Adam was the Principal at Bruntcliffe Academy where he led the academy through its first Ofsted Inspection following its conversion to an academy as part of The GORSE Academies Trust. With a sharp improvement in attainment and progress over a three year period, the academy improved from the bottom 5% of schools in the country to the top 25%. This rate of improvement helped to secure Bruntcliffe Academy a 'Good' judgement from Ofsted for the first time ever in the history of the school. Furthermore, Ofsted judged Leadership and Management, Teaching, Learning & Assessment and Personal Development to be 'Outstanding'.
