We are pleased to welcome three new members of staff this week. We welcome Mrs Batty as our new Receptionist; for many she will be the first point of contact with our academy.

Ms Kirkham re-joins the staff to take a Key Stage 3 leadership role in the English team. Ms Kirkham started as a new entrant to the profession, moved on to well-deserved promoted posts in other schools, and we are delighted to have her back with us.

We are also pleased to welcome Mr Delaney, who also joins English until the end of the year.

Well done to all of the following who are working hard, and with whom I was pleased to celebrate in PD Hour this week: Vaishali Patel, Sukhi Roth, Madison Bolton, Roya Ikhlasi, Sarah Mohamadi, Maddie Thompson, Lewis Bailey-Hague, Thomas March, Beth Lloyd, Caitlin Simpson, Evelyn Burns, Maddie Roberts, Lydia Smith, Isobel Tucker, Laura Bennett, Callum O’Rourke, Zain Haq, Cerys Bevan, Marshall Kirk, Emily Meehan, Noemie Tchuendem, Jake Levine, Sam Harper, Thomas Mosley, Ellie Boam, Elyse Craig, Matt Ferguson and Charlotte Mason.

Well done to Charlie Brooke and Lily-Rose Barker who were my Hot Choc Friday guests this week. They gave me some mature and thoughtful reflections on how Year 11 is going for them, and how they are feeling about the PPE results on Tuesday.

The Year 7 Geography students have been producing 3D models to demonstrate contour skills at the end of their maps unit, with some fantastic results! Contours, keys, scales and grid references were all involved, along with lots of creativity and even a rubber duck. Pictured are Ella Ritchie, Emily Day, Jess Tucker, Alice Firth, Katie Mitchell, Natalie Moore, Finn Brooks, Richard Pajor-Mazur, Phoebe Goodwin, Nathan Burton, Jillian Lagan, Maya Stephens, Louis Johnson, Sam Ritchie and Ed Gaunt.

We are delighted at the news that Mrs Martin has had her baby. Milo Peter was born on 30th December, and all in the family are doing well.
