Humanities Department

The Humanities team are responsible for the delivery of Psychology, Geography, Government and Politics, Religious Studies, Humanities and History which we do with energy and enthusiasm.

Our team is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our students, we are a very successful department who are committed to raising standards for all.

In Year 7 and 8 students are taught Geography, Religious Studies and History for one hour per week.

In Key Stage 4 students can opt to study GCSE History, Geography and Religious Studies.

Students can study Psychology, Geography, History, Government and Politics and Philosophy and ethics at A Level.

There are fieldwork  opportunities  which include day trips to Grassington, Richmond Castle and places of worship as well as residential visits to the Lake District and Berlin.  Our students in Humanities are encouraged to be independent and self-motivated.
